THIS JUST IN! SAVE THE DATE: MAY 11, 2018 - we are proud to announce that we are teaming up with the very talented Redobles de Cultura for a full-day of Puerto Rican Bomba, featuring beginner & intermediate drum & dance workshops, and a bombazo to close out the festivities. It’s all going down at A Seed on Diamond Gallery(124 Diamond St., next to Norris Square Park).

Presented by AfroTaino Productions and hosted by Betsy Casanas' A Seed on Diamond Gallery, we kick off the Mother's Day weekend with an evening of learning, building and jamming through Afro-Boricua expression, La Bomba. Join Nicky Laboy CajaDuraNelson Matthew GonzalezJulia Gutierrez-Rivera for:

5pm-6pm: Drumming/percussion workshop
6:30 - 8pm: Dance workshop
8:30pm - 11pm: Bombazo/Noche de Bomba

Take one workshop, take both or stop by for the Bombazo, there'll be something for everyone.

$15 per workshop
$25 for both workshops
$10 for Bombazo

About the Workshops:
**DRUMS - this will be a technique and rhythm focused drumming/percussion class on Bomba. Drums are not supplied...please bring your own instruments (plus this way, you can use it for the Bombazo!)
** DANCE - open level dance class, appropriate for men and women. Ladies, if you have, bring your skirts!
